Kent Parks is planning for a splash park!

We invited you to put on YOUR park planner hat and tell us what you want to see if your new park by telling us your ideas! We have heard from you and are working on a design that reflects

Uplands Playfields and Spray Park could include a new restroom to support the spray park use and serve as an Interurban Trailhead. Further improvements include a children’s play area, shade structures, loop trails, plaza space, landscaping improvements and trailside amenities. The existing ballfields and dugouts at Uplands Playfields will be redeveloped to completely transform this existing 2.3 acre park space in downtown Kent into a Spray Park destination for Kent residents and the south Puget Sound region.

Plan D seems to have both equally same space for play and splash. The bigger the better seems like everyone would love to be there.

    Parking that makes sense

I like that Concept A understands that Kent is still a car centric town. It has the best parking idea. Still not enough spaces for the people that will undoubtedly be using it. But its better than the other options. The entrance could be moved a little more south to creat a couple more spaces.

I really like concept D. It has a lot of play space and splash space which is important especially when it's hot out. It will also make it less crowded and safer. I also love all the grass..add some trees and it would be perfect.

Concept D - simple and spacious

I like the simple design of Concept D. It provides open and ample space for play, spray, and lawn activities.

I also like the accessibility (bidirectional) of the parking area and mountain views from Concept D.

Incorporating some meadows where greenery is pictured for Concept D would be nice additions.
