Garrison Creek Park was originally built in 1973 and then renovated in 1997. Did you know that the sport courts at this park are built on top of a water reservoir? That’s right! This improvement project seeks to achieve an enduring solution to long-standing court surfacing issues that are unique to this Parks-Public Works joint facility. In addition, we are optimizing the area so that it supports how you want to play and enjoy the beautiful natural environment of Garrison Creek. To do that, we've asked for your feedback: Thank you to all that have participated in the Pop Up Events and the public engagement survey for the Garrison Creek Park Improvement Project!
We're currently analyzing the data we've received from the survey and we are working with an interdepartmental project team to ensure our solution meets all of the necessary criteria for this joint use facility. Following this collaboration process, we'll publicize the results and how we're anticipating the public feedback received will inform project design --- if you haven't already had the chance to, please register and subscribe to these project updates on Engage Kent Parks!
